Handle and latch characteristics
Transit cases use heavy-duty corrosion resistant steel latches and handles.
ICC latches and handles are same color as case with no reflective surface.
Each latch and handle is attached to case with 14 closed end, water proof rivets.
ICC latches include locking ring for extra security.

Lid and water tight seal
Lid is held in place with four (4) heavy-duty corrosion resistant steel latches. Each latch is attached to case with 14 closed end rivets.
Lid is lined with 1/8” rubber gasket that compresses when latched to provide a watertight seal.
Lid features .080” thick nesting ring that neatly fits between interior of case wall and foam to securely hold lid in place in the event of a severe lid edge impact.

Transit Cases are tested to MIL-STD-810D - Dept. of Defense test method standard for environmental engineering considerations and laboratory tests.
Drop Testing– Mil-Std-810 and ASTM D880-92 test method for impact testing for shipping containers and systems.
Water Resistance– per ASTM D951-99 standard test method for water resistance of shipping containers by spray method.
Repetitive Shock– in accordance with requirements set forth in ASTM D999-01, Test method for vibration testing of shipping containers.

Fully welded and reinforced corner construction
Every corner is fully welded for maximum strength and durability.
Each corner of the sealing edge features a reinforced gusset that strengthens and maintains cases rigidity during severe impacts and extreme heat.
During impact case will show slight deformation at point of impact with majority of force being directed into case walls and not to contents.
